I have been so busy this past month that I am behind on blogging more than I could ever catch up normally. So, I am combining a few sessions. This episode is weddings! We have Jessica and Brandon to start us out! Very sweet, down to earth couple who are blending their families. Jessica brought one dear little boy and Brandon brought his 2 strapping lads. The boys couldn't be happier and the Couple lit up the world with their joy! They were able to close on their new house 2 days before the wedding and asked me to follow them there after the reception to capture them crossing the threshold for the first time. Next up we have Kaylin and Devoi! A quirky couple with spunk and originality! The bride made her dress and asked her maids to do the same. the arch they were married under was covered with origami cranes that the bridal party made. They had so much fun out in the August heat that no one even noticed the sweat trickling down our backs and the melting cupcakes! Last but certainly not least, we have Tasha and Mack! Mack came over from New Orleans a few years ago and started working at a flooring store where he met the love of his life and , of course, made a fool of himself. But now, after 8 years and lots of trials, these 2 have finally come together as man and wife in a joyous celebration of family, friends and fun traditions. The umbrellas and rags used in the dancing comes from New Orleans Parade tradition. It was so much fun to watch! That's all for this episode of Catching Up! Keep your eyes ope for more coming soon! (4 more bundles to get me caught up!)

Kapri DurtschiFirst of all, thank you for visiting! I'm so glad to have you here! Let me tell you a little about myself and how I got started. I ran around with a camera as a child but it never occurred to me that photography could be a career. It wasn't until I was in college studying to become a veterinarian that I realized I would much rather be taking pictures and studying photography than anatomy. I shot my first wedding in 2008 and fell in love! I get lost in the magic every time! I branched out to shoot portraits and create fine art images soon after. I love my job and hope you'll let me share that with you! Archives
